Folk Singers of The 1960s

The Folk Revival sprouted in the 1940s and reached its peak in mainstream culture during the 1960s. Leaders of the musical movement from the 40s included artists like Lead Belly, Pete Seeger, Mississippi John Hurt, and Susan Reed. In this biography we take glimpses into how some of these folk musicians got their start, from a few of the late 40s artists to the New Folk musicians that came out of New York.
